Wow! Seems like denial is only skin deep. Following up on insect mortality, I spoke with a well know entomologist (insect expert) and asked him about the NY Times article on insects lack of reproduction. He reminded me that it takes less males than females, so if your one of the lucky few good for you! Enjoy? Long term will be more insects and adaptable to higher and lower temperatures.
A word of caution regarding tearing down dams. Seems that as the dams are removed down stream silting occurs. So it may not be a good idea when certain species of trout are trying to reproduce. Beware of what you ask for, you may not get it exactly as you wanted. Grandstanders, I give up on you, publicity has its cost and your integrity too!
